Contact USA Today for their Epic Failure

Oren Dorell, a reporter with USA Today wrote an article recently on so called “Honor killings,” of which there have been six in the past two years. Unfortunately, his article was rendered inaccurate and ineffectual because of a severe lapse of judgment on his and USA Today’s part in citing Robert Spencer as an authority on Islam and Radical Muslims.
The portion that we are speaking about goes,
“There is broad support and acceptance of this idea in Islam, and we’re going to see it more and more in the United States,” says Robert Spencer, who has trained FBI and military authorities on Islam and founded Jihad Watch, which monitors radical Islam.
Of course, Robert Spencer, per his modus operandi is again lying. There is neither broad support or acceptance of honor killings as an idea in Islam. Two points which Spencer will be hard pressed to prove, especially since Islam expressly condemns the pre-Islamic tribal practice. Spencer also attempts to play prophet here, a role that he has failed at over and over.
This is an especially egregious report in light of the events that played out in the Fathima Rifqa Bary case, a case which Michael Kruse, a reporter for the St.Petersburg Times noted was in part “created” by Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Throughout the case, without any of the facts present Spencer was claiming that Rifqa would be killed in an honor killing and that her parents were extremists, he still believes this today regardless of the fact that the authorities investigated the matter and repudiated Spencer and his far right cronies when they sent Rifqa back to Ohio and found the charges against the family to be baseless.
We urge our readers to contact Oren Dorell and USA Today to rectify this epic failure in citing Spencer as an authority on Islam or radical Islam.

JDO DECLARES WAR ON KKK OPERATION KLAN KICKER CONTINUES
The New York based Jewish Defense Organization has continued its campaign to punish the KKK for trying to set up a chapter in New York, and by attempting to rally here. The JDO is now putting the name and home addresses of KKK members and leaders on both its website and phone hotline, to drive them out of the state.
The current Klansman on the site and hotline (212-252-3383)is Grand Lizard of NY James Sheeley, who lives in Walden. The JDO gives out his secret address and unlisted telephone number. The JDO in the past did this to the previous KKK head in NY William Hoff, costing him his job, and getting him evicted from his home. Now, the JDO intends to do the same again. "We will get KKK members evicted from their home and fired from their jobs, G-D speed" said JDO National Director Mordechai Levy.
"We are warning everyone that employs a Klansman, fire him or face the consequences" said David Weiss JDO spokesman. The potential consequences are a boycott, and spreading message especially using the internet about a company having a Klansman onthe payroll.

Enemy of Israel
Israel is in a struggle for her very life. She is surrounded by nearly two dozen Arab countries, some of whom have already tried several times to wipe Israel out of existence. There are also over 2 million so-called Arab-"Palestinians" between Israel and the Jordan River on sacred Jewish territory and who demand statehood even as they continue to send suicide-homicide bombers to murder Jews. And there are nearly a million and a half Arabs within Israel herself --- one-fifth of the "Jewish" State's total population --- whose loyalty to that Jewish State is questionable. In other words, Israel has a "full plate" --- enemies outside, along side and within!
Israel signed a peace treaty with Egypt in 1979. Yes, there has been no-war but there is also no peace. All economic, social and diplomatic contact has ceased. The Egyptian Army continues to arm themselves to the teeth and rehearse battle drills on the Sinai Desert --- territory Israel handed over to them as part of that very peace treaty!
In 1993 Israel signed a peace treaty with the Palestine Liberation Organization [PLO] leadership in the hopes that Yasir Arafat had enough of Jew-killing and might actually be ready to lead a "Palestinian" nation. He and his so-called "Palestinian Authority" were to be offered most of Judea-Samaria (the "West Bank"), Gaza Strip and part of holy Jerusalem in exchange for ending their long-standing thirst for Jewish blood. But the murder of Jews continued and with unbridled ferocity. The total number of Jews stabbed, machine-gunned, burned or detonated in buses, restaurants and shopping malls since that "peace" treaty has soared to nearly 1,400. Based upon a 60:1 Israel-America population ratio, this would be the equivalent of 84,000 dead Americas losing their lives --- or twenty-eight September 11th terror attacks!
Tourists are no longer visiting Israel in large numbers. Unemployment is everywhere. Israelis are fearful of murderous attacks that could come at any time and at any place. Frustration and despair are commonplace and Israel needs all the support she can get! This is NOT the time for true friends to pick and scratch and dig into any less-than-perfect action that Israel may need to take.
But the Jewish People have amongst them a disproportionate number of Self-Hating and/or Israel-Threateners who, for reasons only a trained psycho-pathologist could possibly explain, have a sick need to conspire with the enemies of Israel. The notion of "circling the wagons" and protecting one's own is foreign to them and so they spew their venom toward Israel as they lick the boots of her enemies. These "anti-survivalist Jews reject, abase, disgrace and degrading themselves and their people. Call it a sickness or call it madness. It makes no difference. Israel pays the price for these traitors' actions.
"End the occupation," they collectively shout. "Stop settlement activities!" "End construction on the Apartheid Wall!" "Stop the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians!" "Zionism is Nazism." "Ariel Sharon is Hitler!" "Sharon is a war criminal!" "Stop the holocaust upon the Palestinian people!" "Don't treat the Palestinians the way Hitler treated you!" "Peace Now - give peace a chance!" "Land for peace!" "Create one bi-national state!" "Stop the human rights abuses!"

Quran proves - "Allah" is NOT a 'moon god':
"And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not bow down (prostrate) to the sun nor to the moon, but only bow down (prostrate) to "Allah" Who created them, if you (really) worship Him."

The Christian acquaintance who sent me a copy of Morey's booklet also sent me five questions related to this subject. I will attempt to answer them below:
Question 1:
What is the significance of the crescent moon in Islam?
Answer:
The Quran answers this question before you asked it. Read this verse:
"They ask you about the new moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage."
[Noble Quran 2:189]
Question 2:
Why does Islam follow a lunar calendar?
Answer:
In both the Bible and the Quran religious festivals are regulated by the lunar calendar. Jews and Muslims have kept to these regulations which they believe to be from God. Why does Christianity follow a solar calendar?
Question 3:
Why is the feast of Ramadan marked by the appearance of the crescent moon?
Answer:
I think you mean the fast of Ramadan. God commanded Muslims in the Quran to fast from dawn to sunset during the month called Ramadan (see Quran 2:185, 187). The beginning and end of the month is determined by the crescent (2:189) based on the instruction of God's Messenger, on whom be peace.
Why this method and not another is not for us to say but for God and His Messenger to prescribe. However, I find it an efficient method. It is a universally applicable method, and it allows for Ramadan to move through all the seasons. This allows believers to have the pleasure of worshipping God by fasting in all the various seasons: one year in the summer, some years later in the winter.
Question 4:
Why does the Quran place the Sabians on the same level with Jews and Christians when scholars have clearly proven that the Sabians were involved in the moon cult?
Answer:
I am not aware that the Quran has placed the Sabians on the same level with Jews and Christians. Perhaps you have in mind the following verse:
"Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians and Sabians, whoever believes in "Allah" and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."
[Noble Quran 2:62; also 5:69]
This verse, however, does not place the Sabians on the same level as the Jews and Christians except in a particular context. The verse speaks of four distinct communities, and offers all four the opportunity to fear not nor grieve if only they would believe in "Allah" and the Last Day and do right. The four communities are:
the Believers (i.e., the Muslims)
the Jews
the Christians
the Sabians
While they are all offered the same opportunity for improvement, nothing, is said in this verse about the validity of the existing faiths of these four communities. Otherwise the Jews and Christians who are criticized in the Quran for their deviations will not be placed on the same level with the believers. The matter becomes clear when you realize that believers here does not mean saved persons but those who ostensibly belong to the community of Muslims. They, as well as the other three groups, must do the following to be saved: believe in "Allah", believe in the Last Day, and do right. Doing right, according to the Quran, includes following every teaching of Muhammad.
Question 5:
Did the Meccans worship the true God since they recognized "Allah"? Was "Allah" one of the gods of the Ka'bah?
And if so, where did the Meccans derive the recognition and the name of "Allah" from?
Answer:
First, "Allah" was not one of the 360 idols which were in the Ka'bah, although Morey has claimed this without evidence. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) entered Makkah victorious he went into the Ka'bah and broke the idols therein.
Second, the word "Allah" has been used all along for the name of "God" in the Arabic Bible for Jews and Christians alike. The proof is easy to verify; simple go to any hotel or motel on the earth and look in the drawer next to the bed and take out the complimentary Bible, placed there by the Giddeons and then look on page 5 or 6 where they list the examples of translations they have made into other languages. The second example given is for Arabic speakers. The verse is from the Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16. Everyone knows this one; "For God so loved the world..." and the word in Arabic for "God" is "Allah." Then if you have a Bible in Arabic, look on page one in Genesis, and you will find the word "Allah" 17 times.
Next, the word for "God" to the Arabs, ever since the time of Abraham (peace be upon him) has been "Allah" and He is to them, the Lord of the Ka'bah (the black box in the center of the Holy Sanctuary in Makkah). He was the unseen God whom they would call upon when in distress. Yes, they worshipped the true God but their worship was not purely for Him. They also worshipped other gods thinking that they would act as intermediaries between them and the true God Allah.
The Arabs know of Allah because Abraham visited Makkah and together with his son Ishmael laid the foundation of the Ka'bah. The descendants of Ishmael retained some of the worship rites and beliefs from Abraham. This included their knowledge of the true God Allah.
Elsewhere we have shown conclusively that the true god, "El" of the Bible is the same as "Allah" of the Quran.

Bernard Madoff
Prominent Jewish foundations shut down due to Madoff Wall Street affair

An alleged $50 billion fraud by Wall Street financier Bernard Madoff has caused deep ripples in the Jewish philanthropic world, forcing the closure of two prominent U.S.-based charities and threatening the financial lifeline of a slew of other groups.
The Chais Family Foundation, a California-based charity group invested entirely with Madoff, was forced to shut down operations on Sunday after years of donating some $12.5 million annually to Jewish causes in Israel and Eastern Europe, the JTA announced.
"I can confirm that the Chais foundation has closed," the JTA quoted Chais President Avraham Infeld as saying on Sunday. "All of its funds were exposed with Mr. Madoff. We have made a decision regrettably and with much pain to close down the foundation."

The Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, a Massachusetts-based group which financed trips for Jewish youth to Israel, was also forced to close on Friday because the money that supported its programs was invested with the former Nasdaq chairman.
Madoff, who allegedly told his employees he was running a "giant Ponzi scheme," was arrested Thursday in New York hours after the collapse of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, and released on a $10 million bond. United States authorities accuse him of running a phony investment business that lost at least $50 billion.
In addition to the closures of the two foundations, the scandal has also caused some other organizations invested with Madoff to call out for donations of their own to supplant their losses.
The Gift of Life Foundation, a Jewish bone marrow registry that relied heavily on Madoff as a benefactor, announced on its Web site Sunday that it would immediately need to raise $1.8 million to make up for recent losses, according to The Forward.

Jewish philanthropy insiders are worried that the ramifications of Madoff's financial demise may extend to the many organizations he supported and the wealthy people, many from the Jewish community, he advised, The Forward reported Friday.
The paper said Madoff, 70, was close to a number of prominent Jewish donors and made charitable donations to several Jewish organizations, including UJA-Federation of New York, the 92nd Street Y and the Gift of Life.
Madoff has resigned from Yeshiva University, where he served as the chairman of the Syms School of Business and treasurer of the board of trustees, the paper reported.
In addition, two private Swiss banks have acknowledged having investments in funds managed by Madoff. Reichmuth & Co says it has 385 million Swiss francs ($327 million) at risk, and Banque Benedict Hentsch Fairfield Partners SA says its exposure is 56 million Swiss francs ($47.5 million) of client assets.
Many well-off Jewish families said late last week they lost large sums they had invested with Madoff. Although some said there had long been questions about Madoff's business practices, it appears the high profits may have kept them from looking into it too deeply.
Madoff didn't tell clients how he got money for them, even when the stock market was tanking. But they relied on his personal reputation and that of his company, which was ranked one of the 25 most successful Wall Street firms. The steady profits, generally between 10 percent and 13 percent, attracted many European investors in addition to the wealthy American investors who entrusted him with their money.

An alleged $50 billion fraud by Wall Street financier Bernard Madoff has caused deep ripples in the Jewish philanthropic world, forcing the closure of two prominent U.S.-based charities and threatening the financial lifeline of a slew of other groups.
The Chais Family Foundation, a California-based charity group invested entirely with Madoff, was forced to shut down operations on Sunday after years of donating some $12.5 million annually to Jewish causes in Israel and Eastern Europe, the JTA announced.
"I can confirm that the Chais foundation has closed," the JTA quoted Chais President Avraham Infeld as saying on Sunday. "All of its funds were exposed with Mr. Madoff. We have made a decision regrettably and with much pain to close down the foundation."

The Robert I. Lappin Charitable Foundation, a Massachusetts-based group which financed trips for Jewish youth to Israel, was also forced to close on Friday because the money that supported its programs was invested with the former Nasdaq chairman.
Madoff, who allegedly told his employees he was running a "giant Ponzi scheme," was arrested Thursday in New York hours after the collapse of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, and released on a $10 million bond. United States authorities accuse him of running a phony investment business that lost at least $50 billion.
In addition to the closures of the two foundations, the scandal has also caused some other organizations invested with Madoff to call out for donations of their own to supplant their losses.
The Gift of Life Foundation, a Jewish bone marrow registry that relied heavily on Madoff as a benefactor, announced on its Web site Sunday that it would immediately need to raise $1.8 million to make up for recent losses, according to The Forward.

To be hanged, drawn and quartered was the penalty for high treason in medieval England, and remained on the statute book but seldom used in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland until abolished under the Treason Act 1814. It was reserved only for this most serious crime, which was deemed more heinous than murder and other capital offences. It was applied only to male criminals, except on the Isle of Man.[1] Women found guilty of treason were sentenced to be taken to a place of execution and burned at the stake, a punishment changed to hanging by the Treason Act 1790 in Great Britain,[1] and 1796 in Ireland.
Until reformed under the Treason Act 1814,[1] the full punishment for the crime of treason was to be hanged, drawn and quartered in that the condemned prisoner would be:
1. Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution. This is one possible meaning of drawn.[2]
2. Hanged by the neck for a short time or until almost dead (hanged).
3. Disembowelled and emasculated and the genitalia and entrails burned before the condemned's eyes (this is another meaning of drawn—see the reference to the Oxford English Dictionary below)[3][4]
4. The body divided into four parts, then beheaded (quartered).
Typically, the resulting five parts (i.e. the four quarters of the body and the head) were gibbeted (put on public display) in different parts of the city, town, or, in famous cases, in the country, to deter would-be traitors who had not seen the execution. After 1814, the convict would be hanged until dead and the mutilation would be performed post-mortem. Gibbeting was later abolished in England in 1843, while drawing and quartering was abolished in 1870.
There is debate among modern historians about whether "drawing" referred to the dragging to the place of execution or the disembowelling, but since two different words are used in the official documents detailing the trial of William Wallace ("detrahatur" for drawing as a method of transport, and "devaletur" for disembowelment), there is no doubt that the subjects of the punishment were disembowelled.[5]
Judges delivering sentence at the Old Bailey also seemed to have had some confusion over the term "drawn", and some sentences are summarized as "Drawn, Hanged and Quartered". Nevertheless, the sentence was often recorded quite explicitly. For example, the record of the trial of Thomas Wallcot, John Rouse, William Hone and William Blake for offences against the king, on 12 July 1683 (see Rye House Plot ) concludes as follows:

A splash of water was usually employed to wake the man if unconscious, then he was laid down on the table.
