The Parents Question

srizals@gmail.com

A friend of mine asked something that have to do with parents. I think I have taken too much time to address this issue. I have to, since this issue is not as simple as the so called debate that I had with liars n haters. It has to do with a sacred relationship of bond ships. Because of this closeness, things can get ugly.

But no matter what the odds are, remember this. We owe our lives to them. We even suckled on our mother for almost two years. Our father had to abandoned most of his dream to fulfill ours. N even until now, when we have become parents ourselves, we still resort to their wisdom in dealing with of course, our own children. I will quote some of the verses in Al Quran pertaining parents.

Allah had reminded us to humiliate ourselves before them nor we could even answered, ah, in conversations with them. There is no room whatsoever that we can offend them. This is more obvious when time had done enough damage to them. N Allah had returned their condition to as they were first born. Helpless n weak.

After years of taking care of us, would it be just to let them die in old people homes?
Who was there with us when we were helpless and weak. Who protected us without questions or grudge.
Treat them well, for we will soon depart from them. Love cannot be matched by anything.
