Road trip: Safety n Some tips.

I'm going to the highlands guys, wish me luck. If I'm lucky, I would find some exotic animals to photograph. If I'm not that lucky, I would only get the chance of finding their carcasses on or beside the road. You see, here in the lands of the Malay, you don't just get stray dogs n cats as roadkill. You get spotted wild cats, pangolin, giant squirrels, wild birds and also humans if you get very unlucky.

Last Hari Raya festive season witnessed almost 300 lives lost on the road. Now compare it with those who lost their life to swine flu disregard whether they were swine eaters or not, about 77 deaths n I hope it would stay that way.

Here, the drivers seem to have a dark hidden identity when they are behind wheels. Time seems to be so precious to them that they are willing to sacrifice their blood, limbs and also their babies, children and their wife to cut the journey short if not their happiness.

The road condition doesn't help much too. According to a recent study, not even one road in Malaysia is worthy of 5 stars rating. So, for being a creature that has been granted the right to rule the earth, use your wits to figure out your driving technique. Does it really worth the risk of putting everything that we treasured in life on the line to save some time or to show off to people that we are the greatest driver on earth?

Pray 4 me guys, Insya Allah, God willing, I would from time 2 time, publish the roadkill n the living beautiful animals n also the scenery that I've encountered in my journey.

Oh, one more thing. It has been a while since I ever saw pangolin living or dead for some time now. I hope they are not extinct yet. You see, they are being smuggled in huge numbers to Thailand as exotic food. It seems the Buddhist there had killed all their wildlife or too much in love of their own wildlife that they want to take all of ours for their own need. Guess I have to bring my keris along eh, just in case. No, I'm not going to kill anyone. I'm just going to show my unsheathed keris to them to scare them off, of course. Hope they don't bring their M 16 along with them too. Poachers are deadly, don't you read the news?

Where are the brave Malay soldiers when you need them? Can't they have regular camping trips or jungle trekking to scare these poachers out of our ancient forest? Did the filthy rich illegal loggers have too much money to buy everyone out of their consciousness? Hope not.

Where are the police traffic when U need them? They seem very available when you parked your vehicle but are not that visible when the Mat Rempit or Street Demons ruled the roads n scare the innocent road users. Hope another Dr M kinda person would emerge soon to be our leaders. Truly I hope. The rest of U, U better walk the talk n step up to the plate. If not, things would be worst for all of us for your 'bravery' n 'consistent' ways.
