Apa yang ada
Jarang disyukuri
Apa yang tiada
Sering dirisaukan
Whatever that we have
Rarely we are thankful
Whatever is not there
Always in our worries
Nikmat yang dikecap
Barukan terasa bila hilang
The pleasures that we have
Could only be appreciated
When they are gone
Apa yang diburu
Timbul rasa jemu
Bila sudah di dalam genggaman
What was chased before
Would be a boredom
When it is in our grasp
Dunia ibarat air laut
Diminum hanya menambah haus
The world is like the sea water
To be drunk only to deepen the thirst
Nafsu bagaikan fatamorgana di padang pasir
Panas yang membahang disangka air
Dunia dan nafsu
Bagai bayang-bayang
Dilihat ada, ditangkap hilang
Desire is like the fata morgana in the desert
The hot burning desert sand looks like water
The world and desire
Are like shadows
Can be seen, never to be caught
Tuhan leraikanlah dunia
Yang mendiam di dalam hatiku
Kerana di situ tidak ku mampu
Mengumpul dua cinta
God release the world
Residing deep inside my heart
For I cannot contain in it
Having two love at once
Hanya cinta-Mu (Allah) ku harap tumbuh
Dibajai bangkai dunia yang ku bunuh
Only Your love (Allah) I hope would grow
Nourished by the carrion of worldly desire that I have slain
