Prof.dr. Ibrahim Khalil: In Bible Vs Quran, Jesus denied that He is God? (1)

In the Bible, Did Jesus deny that he is God? (1)
Yes He did.
In the Quran, Did Jesus deny that he is God? (1)
Yes He did.
-------------------------------
In the Bible, Mark 10:17-18 says:
  • Jesus was coming out to the road,
  • A man came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him,
"Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
  • Jesus said to him:
"Why do you call me goodNo one is good except God alone"
-------------------------------
Now, who believe in this verse?
1-      The Jews? No, they do not believe in Jesus; so, they do not believe in his sayings.
2-      The Christians? No. they do believe that Jesus is God, although Jesus denied that He is not the good one; and No one is good except God alone"
3-      The Muslims? Yes, they do believe as the Quran says that Jesus is a great Prophet and there is no god(s) but One, the Almighty Creator.
-------------------------------
No one is good except God alone" was Jesus' answer in reference to the original Greek verse.
Now, let us see Jesus' answer in 23 different versions of the Bible:
"No one is good except God alone" is found in seven Bible's versions
In the other Biblical versions, Jesus answered
  • Only God is good in three versions
  • There is none good but one, that is, God in two versions
  • No one is good but One, that is, God in two versions

No one [is] good except One – God
The following Jesus' answer is found in one version each; it is:
  • None is good save one, even God
  • No one is good but OneGod
  • No one is good except God
  • No one is good, only God
  • Only God is truly good
  • There is no one [essentially and perfectly morally] good--except God alone
  • There is no man good, but God himself.
-------------------------------
Mark 10:17-18 in New King James Version; that is the most correct translation of the original Greek verse.
17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
18 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Now, read Mark 10:17-18 in some other versions of the Bible to see how they add some other words that are not present in the original Greek verse.
[Look at the underlined words].
Amplified Bible
17And as He was setting out on His journey, a man ran up and knelt before Him and asked Him, Teacher, [You are essentially and perfectly morally] good, what must I do to inherit eternal life [that is, to partake of eternal salvation in the Messiah's kingdom]?
18And Jesus said to him, why do you call Me [essentially and perfectly morally] good? There is no one [essentially and perfectly morally] good--except God alone.
Wycliffe New Testament
17 And when Jesus was gone out into the way, a man ran before, and kneeled before him, and prayed him, and said, Goodmaster, what shall I do, that I receive everlasting life?
18 And Jesus said to him, what sayest thou, that I am good? There is no man good, but God himself.
New Living Translation
17 As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
18 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus asked. "Only God is truly good.
